EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (EAP)

An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a voluntary, work-based program that offers free & confidential assessments, short term counselling, referrals, and follow-up services to employees who have personal and/or work-related problems.

Employee injury, personal, professional & health problems can effect productivity, result in increased leave, WorkCover claims, turnover and absenteeism.

Organisations are increasingly offering counselling & support services to employees, via EAP programs as a cost effective, early intervention strategy to improve workplace relations, prevent OH&S issues, and enhance emotional, mental and general psychological wellbeing of all employees and immediate family members.

An Employee Assistance Program provides your employees with access to independent and professional counselling funded by your organisation. The amount of sessions allocated to each employee is usually 3 or more per year, the organisation may prefer to nominate the number of sessions on a case by case basis. With Management approval this service can be extended to immediate family members of affected employees. EAP program information is generally presented to employees on induction, accessible information via the intranet/internet or through human resources.

Onsite Counselling.

Critical Incident- Our team can provide psychological first aid and counselling services in the event of a critical incident, such as workplace accidents and exposure to shocking or horrific events.

Immediacy can be crucial to the effectiveness of interventions this helps people understand the effects of the trauma, and teaches effective ways to manage difficult symptoms.

Professional Workshops- Our team offer information and workshops to enhance staff effectiveness at work and facilitate their personal well-being.

Topics include;

·          building a mentally strong workplace including managing anxiety /    

 stress / depression

·          controlling addictions

·          interpersonal communication

·          managing time.

·          Self-esteem, self-confidence

 

Workshops can be tailored to meet your organisational requirements.

 

Professional Training- Our team can provide training to assist employees to improve skills.

Challenging Behaviours in the workplace- Assessment and counselling services consider your staff members as a total person, including their families. Adhering to confidentiality and anonymity, psychologists provide reactive and proactive strategies for enhancing staff well-being. We also integrate individual counselling with organisational interventions and can work with your staff at our offices or at their workplace.

Mediation and conflict resolution- Conflict within the workplace can affect staff relationships and productivity. Our Counsellors can provide external and neutral mediation services, conflicts can often be resolved in a way that is mutually beneficial to both parties.

 

Rehabilitation support services- Supporting employees with current rehabilitation program, our psychologists can assess staff who are off work because of a physical or psychological injury, help them identify the factors influencing work capacity, and prepare a report outlining diagnostic and prognostic information and provide return to work counselling.

Professional Coaching- Our team can help you discover what is important to you, assess what is missing from your life and work and set goals to help achieve the transformation you are seeking.
