Steve McLachlan is a registered Educational and Counselling Psychologist who will be working at Crookes Counselling & Consulting Services, Torquay on Thursdays from January 2019.
Steve McLachlan has been a registered psychologist since 1989. He worked full time as a Department of Education psychologist in Horsham for 10 years and in Geelong for 20 years. Steve has worked in Geelong as a part-time private psychologist since 2005. He gained registration as an Educational and Developmental Psychologist in 2010 and as a Counselling Psychologist in 2012.
Steve uses evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to assist clients to realise lasting change in their lives. He has a strong professional interest in mindfulness therapy, positive psychology, positive education and supervision.
